War! War! War!

Why? Why? Why?

In the long and turbulent history of humanity have wars ever solved anything? Every war is waged with God on its side. Both sides always believe they are fighting the just war against evil. That they are doing God’s will.

Yet how can this be?

Sooner or later, we need to realise there is no chosen race; that spirituality has absolutely nothing to do with genome or DNA. This is the fundamental teaching of Jesus and all the other enlightened beings who have come to teach us the way of love. That we are all blessed. That we are all neighbours. That we are all One. That we are all equal.

Senseless fighting and killing can never be justified. There is no evil. There are certainly differences of opinion and belief and there is the necessity to defend oneself and one’s loved ones if attacked. But a pre-emptive strike just in case?? In case of what? Who decides? Where is the onus of proof? There is no transparency just a conspiracy of silence.

How many times can the populous fall for the false cry of weapons of mass destruction? And more to the point why should one country of 9.6 million people be ‘allowed’ to have nuclear weapons and yet its neighbour of 96 million not? Again, who decides? Who is the arbiter? And if the ‘rule of law’ decides then all are equally subject to that rule of law. There is no might without right.

This latest US folly surely shows us the hypocrisy and fraudulence of our current so-called democracy. Donald Trump was elected on a definite and unequivocal mandate of no-more-wars. He constantly bragged about ending the war in Ukraine within 24 hours and 1 phone call. It is now well over 12 months, and Trump has bombed more countries than any other president. And this is all without congressional approval and in a supposed time of peace.

Where is the mandate? Who approves? Who pays the US$1billion per day to finance the war?

The whole mandate of MAGA was about a focus on domestic issues and a turning away from empire building that is slowly but surely bankrupting America. Unfortunately, all declining empires in their terminal stage lash out senselessly creating mayhem and destruction in their bloodthirsty glee as they go their way in the chronicles of history. None remain!

Surely in a true democracy the Constitution would rule, and rulers would be bound by their election promises or quite quickly be shown the door. Almost 50% of Americans disapprove of the current war in Iran. Does it matter? Do they matter? Is there really more democracy in the US and Israel than in Iran? Is it democracy for the people or the people as fodder for the elite?
